How long have you been at Roanoke College? I have worked for Roanoke College for 7 years,
Where did you go to school? Roanoke College. I graduated with a concentration in Accounting and worked as an Accountant for BellSouth for many years.
What do you like about Roanoke College? Roanoke College holds a special place for me and my family. I loved my time here as a student. I enjoy working here, and one of my daughters graduated from Roanoke while my other daughter is currently a Math Major here. As a Department Secretary, I see how the faculty and staff truly care about the students and want the students to do well and succeed.
What do you do in HPAG? I am the secretary for HPAG.
Why should students engage with HPAG? HPAG offers many Health School Visits and Events that can be very beneficial for the students interested in that particular school. I encourage students to attend as many events as their time will allow.
What is a fun fact about you that people might not know? I love to make quilts!
What advice would you like to give to new and current students? Let us know you are interested in pursuing a health field as soon as possible. I will make sure you are on the HPAG mailing list so that you will know about all of the Health Professions happenings around campus. Please feel free to stop by the Chemistry Department (Trexler 465) any morning just to say “hi” and introduce yourself. I can help make sure you are with the correct Health Professions Advisor to make sure you are on the right path for your chosen health career.
